Physical rubber prices turned weak on Monday due to lack of demand from the tyre sector. While, the disruption of overnight rains effecting tapping and restricted arrivals kept a tight range of prices in the lower levels.

Spot prices for RSS- 4 variety remained unchanged at Rs. 186/ kg while RSS- 5 variety slipped to Rs 179.50/ kg compared to its previous close of Rs.180/ kg.

In the futures market, the contract of RSS- 4 August delivery closed at Rs. 183.10 compared to its previous closing of Rs. 183.03, while September delivery closed at Rs. 182.15 compared to its previous closing of Rs. 181.68 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
