Red chilli futures traded up on NCDEX as speculators enlarged their positions. Rising demand in the spot market along with limited supplies from the growing regions led to the rise in chilli futures.
The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 4,650.00, up by 0.22% or Rs 10.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4,640.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 350 lots.
The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 5,320.00, up by 0.26% or Rs 14.00 from its previous closing of Rs 5,306.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 9675 lots on NCDEX.
