Cotton Prices Consolidate On Advent Of Monsoon (04-Jul-2012)
Cotton prices were consolidating in West India on Wednesday and remained unchanged amid good demand. The selling has slightly increased after arrival of monsoon rains in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. In Gujarat, new A grade S-6 cotton traded at Rs 34,500- 34,800 per candy and B grade cotton at Rs 34,000-34,500 per candy. Prices of New V 797 offered at Rs 28,100-28,400 a candy.In Maharashtra A grade cotton low micronaire quoted at Rs 33,800-34,300 per candy and A grade high micronaire cotton 29+ MM quoted at 34,400-34,800 per candy.
