Chana futures traded up on NCDEX as speculators created new positions. Firm demand in the spot market picked up the price. However, higher sowing due to improved rainfall in the major producing regions restricted the gains.
The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 4572.00, up by 1.22% or Rs 55.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4517.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 13400 lots.
The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 4573.00, up by 1.11% or Rs 50.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4523.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 91520 lots on NCDEX.
